Dr Shah has worked as honorary house physician and clinical registrar at an Ayurvedic hospital during her MD course and has completed her internship for BAMS course.
Dr. Tejal Shah earned her Ayurvedic degrees from Jamnagar, Gujarat, India’s renowned Gujarat Ayurved University. She received her Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS, 5 12 years full-time course) and Doctor of Medicine (MD, 3-year full-time course, 2002 speciality Manasroga & Manovignan – mental disorders and mental health) degrees from the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, which is one of India’s premier Ayurvedic institutes and has recently been designated as an institute of national importance dedicated to Ayurvedic studies and During her MD, Dr. Shah was given a World Health Organization travel fellowship to present her MD thesis work on Ayurvedic dementia management at the prominent National Institute for Mental Health and Neurosciences in Washington, D.C.
